Brand / Model / Vintage: Lemania 105 Chronograph circa early 1960s
Movement: Lemania caliber 1270 signed and numbered, 17 jewel manual wind.
Case: Original gilt case appears to be unpolished. Lugs are sharp. Diameter with crown measures 35mm.
Dial: All original dial is in NOS condition. Dauphine handset is excellent. Dagger batons (distinctive of the late 50s early 60s) and quarterly Arabic numerals are pristine. Double register in minutes and continuous seconds is located along the perimeter of the dial, and the outer tachymetre scale “pops” with light-blue text.
Bracelet: Crocodile leather strap (caramel-color).
Accessories: None.
Condition: This is one of the most unblemished 50+ year old watches I’ve ever seen. The movement was fully serviced by Craig Bergsma (Chronodeco) in August 2012, at which time the mainspring and crystal were replaced. Original crown and pushers show obvious signs of wear; I elected not to have new parts installed at the time of servicing. Worn sparingly since the autumn of 2012, the timepiece is keeping very good time.
