I'm not the most experienced in this area but I know that the addition of cashmere will make them softer as it is woven in with the fabric. How noticeable? I would guess thats something that needs to be felt in person. Just my .02

5% cashmere makes a noticeable difference IME. I wouldn't buy trousers with a high cashmere content because durability would become an issue.

Interesting. I was looking at the 100% cashmere Pantas but they were sold out. I guess those would not be good for your regular rotation.
