Sorry if this has been asked here before...but I have a pair of JCrew jeans for sale in B&S that I'd really like to hold onto, except they're too damn stiff. I bought them because they were advertised as the same as one of my favorite (and softest pair) just in Black. Can I just continually throw these in the wash to soften them up? Dryer? What temp? I've worn them about 10 times with no luck AT ALL softening them. Hoping some of you guys can help me out.

Dryer with no heat ("fluff" setting or whatnot) will soften them right up.

I would just tough them out. They will eventually get soft, though it could take more than 10 wears. You will come to appreciate crunchy denim.

I've worn my J. Crew about 20 times now and they've softened up incredibly. The first wash should also help. Break them in first though and then just do a handwash in cold with Woolite and hang to dry. Dryers are awful on jeans.

You could try to soak them a couple of times, so the starch comes out. Or just wear it untill it softens up.

I have a newer pair of Dry Bones that are something like 16 oz or 19 oz denim that were really stiff, but they have softened up in all the flex points a little bit with only a half dozen wears ( with no washing other than the very first hot soak).

I throw them on as soon as I get home, even if it's just wandering around the apartment. I'm hoping for high contrast fades, so I don't want to wash them too much or too soon.

I find it really funny that no one jumped on this guy with 'BAWWWWW POST THIS IN THE STICKY THREAD ;_;' just because he has 1000+ posts

Put them on someone else. Kick them down the stairs of a tall building, over and over.

Does the same thing as the dryer trick, but it's much more fun.
