hey guys, i was in zara and they had some really cool white pointy lace ups (very plain not the trainer like ones with the stitching), with a soft sole. more importantly the leather was really supple.

unfortuanatly they dont come in black. where can i get some dolce gabbana style pointy lace ups in soft supple leather, with a soft sole (if you know what i mean the sole was kinda built into the leather)

gianni barbato, though they don't qualify as "supple".

Prada, D&G - not very inventive, but I think they can provide.

I have a pair of pointy black Paul Smith 3 eyelet black laceups that have very supple leather and medallion brogueing on the toe. The sole is not exactly what you described but it's very slim, about 1/4" thick. It's still available at the Paul Smith store(s), at least in LA.

Here's pics of the Paul Smith shoe, called the "Simonon" (named after Paul from the Clash I'm sure)

It is the only black shoe in my regular shoe rotation. VERY comfortable, like wearing slippers as the leather is super supple and the sole is thin so there is no bulk. Sole originally had palm trees printed on it and the inside has a printing on the insole. Made in Italy. Blake stitched construction.

Though I cannot comment on their current collections:
- Fratelli Rosetti
- Sergio Rossi (aka Gucci)
- Cesare Paciotti
