Soft interlining for MTM shirt collar?

This is going to be my first go-around with Brooks Brothers MTM shirts. Ordering two--a pink royal OCBD with a flap chest pocket and a light blue royal oxford with a Londoner wide spread collar. Obviously, the OCBD needed soft interlining for the collar, but I'm not so sure about the spread. I've always envied the very Italian elegance of a soft spread collar... yet I'm afraid it won't hold up or even be appropriate for the collar style. Which avenue should I take?

Order one with soft, one with non-soft. Impossible to decide otherwise.
