I get bored with wearing the same dark colored socks everyday. However, I'm a very traditional dresser. And I'm wondering if any of you wear bright colored socks. Are there any fashion rules, regarding socks, colors, etc. Lastly, who makes the best socks?
Thanks,
John

I buy all of my socks at discount stores like Marshalls and TJ-Max. Brand doesn't really matter to me. I've had really good no-name socks, and I've had brand-name socks that didn't really last more than one wearing. I've found that fiber content is important to me. I try to stay away from acrylic, and stick to natural fibers like wool and cotton. Acrylic is nice, until you wear it and it pills up.

If you want to stick to more formal socks, how about a nice argyle?

I like colorful socks, and often match my socks to a color in my shirt. As for quality, I like Pantherellas at deep discount (Marshalls, etc.), and good ol' Gold Toe.

Gold Toe aren't the most luxurious, but they're durable, and that's what I want from my socks.

For luxury, Pantherella and Gallo are very nice. Dore-Dore is another good brand.

I find Pantherellas to be pretty delicate, if nice socks.

A friend of mine was recently wearing glen-plaid pants with yellow socks that picked up a stripe in his shirt. Not my style, but he carried it off nicely.
