Italian fans are underrated bandwagonners. Notice how little excitement most Italians felt for this edition of the Euro, and now all of a sudden every third car in Montreal has an Italian flag flying proudly.

Italy is a good side, probably the 4th-5th best at the Euro. But coming out with your faux bravado, meatball bullshit about how they are some superpower is just dumb.

And my analysis of Germany is that they got scored on early, lost their bearings, and couldn't adjust. As a side they are still one of the best in the world. Anything can, and does, happen in one game eliminations.

I don't think that Italy is a better side than Spain. Yet I think that Prandelli is more efficient at getting the maximum he can from his selection. Spain could be much more better with for example Pedro in and Xavi out.
However one thing I do not understand is the constant downplaying of Italy.
Was England better on the paper than Italy? No quite the opposite actually. Germany was supposed to be a big favorite so yes it was a surprise to see such a domination from Italy, but then Löw tactics...

Regarding Italy's own merits, the team is very good with a very good spirit you just can't deny that. And having seen Pirlo and his Juve teammates play all the season, it is not a surprise to witness such a performance from them during the Euro.

lol How funny and ironic that I have been rooting for Germany since the beginning of the tournament and during this game!
During this Euro the Italians and the Germans played the most enjoyable football. Sorry if it bothers you, but still it is the truth. Go watch the group stage games against Spain and Croatia if you miss them.

We aren't talking about how enjoyable the Italians have been to watch. I thought they've been fantastic. They've attacked relentlessly, even with the lead, and have noticeably toned down the teatrics, which is refreshing. I was simply commenting on the quality of their side as a group and it's nothing special. They are doing well, and I tip my hat to them.

Spain is about as boring to watch as Greece was in 2004. No argument there. I think they've gotten to the point where their style is bad for football.

Spanish game is just awful to watch...

Passing without penetrating the defensive wall is just plain boring...

Barcelona play is great because of the accelerations of Messi..

I prefer watching Italy or even Germany the former most boring teams on the planet..

If Football was porn , watching Spain playing is like watching 90 minutes of foreplay with the odd finger inside..

    (not my picture)

The Predator Mania is still to this date the coolest collection of football boots ever made, imo.
I remember wanting the white version so badly but none of the local sport shops here had them in stock. I ended up buying them at 50% off, when I stumbled upon them in Berlin in '03

You will always get a group of fair weather friends when a team makes it through no matter what.
Get over it. It's a part of sports, all sports. It doesnt mean a team is over rated.
If and when Italy wins this tourney ,it will tie them with Germany for Euro Cup wins .In rankings Spain will be on paper ranked
No.1 with wins and finishes in the QF and Finals. Italy and Germany will be 2nd and 3rd.
I could be wrong. I don't follow soccer like a lot of you but I have NEVER rooted for another team than Italy except durning world cup.
Then it's Italy and the USA but lets not even go there.
The point is you flip and flop over your teams . where is your team loyalty and why do you attack a team because they're doing well and Burton you Twat I am in this thread ,too. I am not a " these people". If you think the game is going to be so boring don't watch it.

Those are some kick ass boots. It's really hard to find good boots in the States or at least in Washington, DC

^^ Worldsoccershop.com seems to have a good selection of both budget and top tier boots [IMG]

By the way, Swansea's playing philosophy might take inspiration from Barcas, but it is quite clear to see where they got the inspiration for their new shirt from:

    11/12 Real Madrid shirt

Italy is still dogged by their former reputation as a defensive squad but they've been fantastic at scoring and looking dangerous during this Euro. Their forwards aren't content to just sit back in the midfield and go on runs without being fed the ball. I've really enjoyed watching Italy so far. They've been dangerous, they've attacked, and of the Top 10 goals of the tourney, probably five of them are theirs.

I still like the Nike Tiempo Legend IVs - I know, they're boring, but I'm boring so that's okay.

Pretty sure I'd buy a pair if I actually played (don't think getting drunk and passing the ball around with my brother on the front lawn counts)
