Love to get different opinion on boots. I started out playing in F50 Tunits years ago, but previous pairs kicked the bucket. I got the green ones and the mi-blue ones right as they discontinued the line in early 2010. With that line discontinued, I jumped over to more traditional k-leather boots (the adipure, the Tiempo, etc) and have worn those almost exclusively since.

The World Cup CTRs were an impulse buy from an English website that waved VAT and shipping and had them for like $100 (down from something insane like $400). Amazingly comfortable, but I've resigned them to grass-only, so they don't get a ton of play on uni turf fields.

Really would love to pick up either the Tiempo or CTR from the Euro Clash collection from Nike that's been on display during the tournament.

I switched to CTR360s after adidas changed to lasts that dont fit my foot andI love them. I don't think about the fact that I'm wearing shoes at all when I'm playing, which I consider the mark of a good boot.

    he's a great player.

    from the guardian:

20 min: BRILLIANT GOAL!!! Germany 0-1 Italy. Could this be the opening salvo in a classic ding-dong battle? Germany have had all the play, but Italy have just had two attempts, and their third counts! Cassano twists and turns magnificently down the left, escaping from Boateng and Khedira with one marvellous twiddle, then whipping a cross over the six-yard area, where Balotelli - having beaten Badstuber to the ball - powers home a header. That was top class. This is on!

Everyone is better than Italy. That's why Italy is in the finals for this tourney. Clearly they aren't the better team.

Dont be so sensitive. Its true. This is not a great Italian team, but they did a great job beating Germany.

    - one of the best goalies of the entire history of the game,
    - a defense of steel,
    - a midfield full of skilled ball players (with a special mention for l'architteto Pirlo),
    - two competent polyvalent and hardworking strikers
    - a great quality bench
    - the best tactician of this Euro as a coach.

Dude if this is not a great team then what does great mean? :foo:

Regarding the game against Germany, it is also true that Löw blew the whole thing up with his formation and line-up.
I simply do not understand why he refused to use his team’s advantage on either flanks (4 5 1 vs 4 4 2 diamond means 2 agains 1 on each flank).
Besides why use Gomez if you are not going to feed him with crosses?
Why put extra men on the center of the pitch if you know (it's Kroos, c'mon!) they are not going to press effectively THE player of the opposing side? Kroos and Özil were just bothering each other and in the meantime the right flank was not exploited as it should have been.
Finally Podolski and Schweinsteiger were clearly out of form and should not have been fielded.

This is just beyond me. It was a pure tactical melt down from Loew and it ultimately shows that the Germans were not that confident before the game, FFS Germany does not adapt! They are supposed to play their game as usual. That's all!

Conclusion this team is still young. They still have some work to do and some experience to gain before competing successfully to the ultimate level. And Löw should find another job now, he has shown his limits and reached his level of incompetency.

P.S. : Seeing once again the genius of Pirlo at play, I just cannot fathom how Allegri, this stupid fuck, could let him go like a beggar from Milan. How full of shit do you have to be to do that?

This is pure homer bullshit, not even worth a serious read.

Italy has had a great tourney but they certainly weren't favored coming in, and for good reason.

Tell us this reason then genius.
By the way I am also waiting for your complete rebuttal of my analysis of Germany's tactics. Feel free to enlighten me.

Italy has admirably punched above its weight during this tourney.

That's the long and short of it. I want Italy to give Spain a run for its money, but I'm not going to say that they're a better side.

I like those. I'm generally a fan of the simpler looking boots. That being said, I love some of Puma's boots, but my feet are too wide for them . I wish Adidas made the Preds like they used to, because they were the best boot on the market.

Yes. Predators from 2006 and back were amazing boots.
