Germany has been playing this very fluid style since the 2006 world cup under Klinsmann. They have played amazingly since 2006 but unfortunately have stumbled in the last stages. Italy grinded out a 2-0 in last 2 minutes of 2006 and then Spain managed to shut them down in the 2008 euro and 2010 world cup.

I hope their style has matured enough to be able to win cups. They deserve it. Most entertaining football ive seen in a while.

Told you so. This is a good team to watch.

    Pitch was shit last night.

Ok, so now the Greeks can go home and pay their bills. They showed some fight, give them credit for leveling the match.

    Germany were miles better.

That pitch got ruined real quick, feel bad for the groundskeepers. Looking at the pitch after the match, it looked like the clumpy public fields used when I was a munchkin

I'd like to say you're wrong, but whenever I ask for upsets I get shot down

Yeah agree, I don't think my post was clear-- when I said "This was the game when everyone realized that there was a new German team on the scene" I was responding to the video of the 06 WC that El Arg posted and I do believe that is when this all started. I was watching it at a bar at something like 7am, and I remember everyone looking at each other half-shocked over the new style of play. The Germans showed more of it yesterday.

I would like to see Spain win today.

I think France has the players to pull of the counter-attacking football needed to beat Spain, but there's always the question of how many of them who will turn up...

This is a mistake. Spain plays better with a striker. I don't care whether Cesc is better than Torres.

So, 4-6-0 again? Fuck off Spain, I hope you crash and burn.

He could've set up a small tapas place in the amount of space he had there.

Everyone I talk to. Every time his name is brought up some takes a crack at him.
