    I am getting in late here, but I was impressed with Italy. Italy left Spain impotent most of the time by jamming up the middle and defending diligently. They also looked pretty good when attacking. The Spanish goal was very nice (classic move from them), but that was not consistent with the rest of the game when they frequently looked slow and obvious.

    Spain looked better when Torres came in and there were more opportunities, but yes he was wasteful in his 15 or so min. At least there were opportunities to waste though. Prior to that Italy mostly looked comfortable and in control. Torres up top is a better formation for Spain, despite his finishing issues. He at least can draw away defenders and give others space. I don't think Spain can be effective with 10 midfielders.
