Berbatov is still there?!?! Can't see Welbeck getting any playing time now. At least I might get a chance to see Arsenal here in Canada - they're on one of the channels.

    Is this a joke?

Cazorla was excellent today. Seems like he'll turn out to be a great buy. Podolski is not a main striker, so it's not surprising he wasn't great. Giroud's miss :rotflmao:

Think Arsenal got the better of that deal, £24 million for a player who's always injured and has had one great season?

So much silly shit gets posted here about United. It is as if most of you never actually put down the xbox controllers and watch or go to a game. The final sentence tells it all. You will be rooting for City--ok but nobody wanted RVP more than Mancini and nobody has more strikers. It was a genius move. More important than anything, it illustrates that City are second tier.

Berba will be sold and Welbeck will get plenty of playing time--people forget how much football United will actually play. Silly, silly stuff.

People also forget that last season was United worst by a long shot, they didn't win ANYTHING, and City still only beat them on goal difference...

:nodding: Yes. With injuries at almost every position and the loss of Vidic, Anderson and Fletcher we were still just beaten on GD. Amazing but people here act like United are trying to pull themselves out from relegation. No questoin RVP needs to remain healthy, and hopefully he will--but he was the top scorer last year and he is a player of real quality. One thing you do know, and can absolutely predict with 100% certainty, is that Balotelli and Tevez will freak out at some point during the season and cause City tremendous problems.

Make all the excuses you want, but City won silverware last year, including the EPL title. Not exactly second tier.

Make all the excuses you want???? Really??? Mancini wanted RVP he turned him down and it wasn't because of the weather.

City really were the best of the worst last season, no-one had a good campaign. They have a really strong team but spending the high wages and late night partying wore them out towards the end. If Utd didn't collapse they would never have won.

And City collapsed earlier in the season, giving ManU the chance to catch up. The result is still the same.

Who cares if RVP turned City down? They're the defending Premiership and FA Cup champions. ManU won nothing last year. You calling City "second tier" is absurdly laughable because it's such a blatant homerism.
