Agree with all of this. two of the goals were weak defence by Canada (the 1st and 2nd). The US was the more dangerous team yesterday. That said, if the officiating was called as it should have been Canada would have been up 3-2 in the final 5 minutes. Who knows if the US would've tied it again. Mainly sad for one team to legitimately feel they were robbed of medal and a game rather than lost to the better team.

I get people's reaction to the time-wasting call. She should've received a warning and on the second time a card. Is the reaction to the hand-ball skewed because of the time-wasting? The hand-ball was legit: off the hand of the first lady then elbow of the second. The elbow on its own wouldn't have warranted it, but the first woman's hand changed the flight and wasn't tucked like the elbow.

As to players working the ref Canada's coach was working them before the match started. His press conference comment about "highly illegal" tactics used by the U.S. in the box was just to work into the ref's mind. Everyone tries to pick off defenders in the box on corners.

SE4TTLE SOUNDERS are playing in the Open Cup final tonight. Victory would be 4th Open Cup title in a row, unprecedented.

Excited for the ACMilan/Madrid friendly tonight (unfortunately not in person...) Short of the flub at Benfica, been looking entertaining during the pre-season run up.

Madrid coughed up Sergio Canales to Valencia after a year on the bench and another on loan. Although I didn't have much confidence ever in the kid, let's please get a set transfer policy established here. Buy someone one season, drop them the next is just stupid. Also a "30M ultimatum" has been issued for Modric. Please, Spurs, don't take it.

Lucas Moura chooses PSG over ManU. Glory hunter.
