Roberto Carlos has announced that he will retire from football.

Roberto has always been a favourite of mine, his freekick goal against france is one of the most spectacular goals I've ever seen.

We cannot lose Alex Song - the dude is an absolute rock

I don't even want to think about Cazorla and Sahin.

^^ If we could get Sahin on a permanent deal instead of a loan then I wouldn't be too heartbroken about Song going away. Its more the fact that we will be selling one of our key players to Barcelona again, that bothers me. Arsenal should boycott Barca after the way they handled the Fabregas-transfer.

On Cazorla; he was seen boarding a plane from Malaga to London this morning. Fingers crossed!

I'm sure everyone would agree that it'd be best to retain Song.

I'm really looking forward to this upcoming season. Hopefully Miyaichi gets some league games, I think he's ready.

Legitimate football news - where should I be looking?

I look at the Guardian's football section, I'd like to phase out soccernet from my morning coffee sites but sometimes you just want something quick and dumb to chew on so I can't really help myself there

Watching the Real Madrid / Galaxy friendly from earlier today on DVR. :inlove:

Oh, Higuaín, please don't leave us - goal and two assists in 45 minutes. Madrid ripped them to shreds in the first half. Whole new lineup for the second half now.

So, what is up with Malaga and this firestorm selling?

I was under the impression that Qatari oil was backing that project. All of a sudden they can't pay wages?

Mourinho giving Sahin his blessings and permission to leave? Feeling very giddy - hopefully he doesn't pull a fast one and go to Turkey or some shit

Actually, I don't know a damn thing about either Cazorla or Sahin

Both very good, although to my mind a winger (Cazorla) wasn't a priority for Arsenal.

Cazorla very effectively functioned as Malaga's playmaker last season. He's attack minded. He fills the gap between Arsene's choice midfield of Song, Arteta, and Ramsey. He'll spearhead midfield moreso than either of those options.

And he's just been in great form. Giroud up front, Podolski out left, Cazorla coming up the right or dropping in the hole could be very advantageous.
