lol AVB fined Modric £80k for refusing to train. Spurs off to a smooth start this summer. They could have avoided all this and made a mountain of money by selling last summer.

Another strange transfer story..

We all know AVB doesn't really know how to handle players he views as "problems" by what he did to Anelka and Alex last year.

Leeds to sign Rodolph Austin if we can get his club to agree, Eirik Bakke telling him to go, he wants to go, we want him and this is why he is a black Billy Bremner:

^Nice tackle. I like how he picked the attacker up off the pitch afterwards like a rag doll and stood him back up.

^ It started slowly but improved.

PSG looked a lot better than Chelsea in the first half. PSG played with organization, skill and some pace given it is preseason. Chelsea looked slow, lacked intensity, misplaced passes and sent crosses flying over everyone's heads. PSG deserved to score. As it turned out, the goal they did score was fluky and due to CFC laziness. I believe it was given as a Luiz own goal ultimately.

The second half, especially the last 30 minutes, was much more entertaining. Chelsea woke up and had much more possession and started to play. PSG were still playing pretty well, so it was a better contest.

Piazon scored off the only quality cross from Chelsea of the game, from Ramirez. It was quite nice. The game became more and more competitive as it went on, and there were some hard tackles flying in at the end.

19 y/o Lukaku (Chelsea) is going to be a beast, but he had a rotten night due to poor service and substandard ball skills when he did get possession. He needs to be loaned out. I understand he is going to Fulham.

Chelsea new hires Hazard and Marin had okay nights. Marin added some good pace when he came on, which Chelsea had lacked up to that point.

I have read PSG was playing in the first half with mainly last year 's team..

Douchet ,Gameiro , Sakho and many other bench warmers..

Pastore and Nene had good games..

The young Italian had to play quicker and to adapt..

Deal agreed for Austin, now need to agree a deal with him personally, shouldn't be hard. Takeover to be announced tomorrow, spending all this cash all of a sudden seems a bit strange as does being told we've agreed a fee before we've actually signed someone.

News that Mourinho has told Kaká he won't play and may be shipping him back to ACMilan (heard that one before) or Corinthians (!)

Was looking back at Kaká's wiki to see where he'd played before Milan - São Paulo FC. Wonder how that transfer might go over.

Sad how quickly Kaká fell. Great player in his prime.

reminds me of Ronaldinho and Sheva in that respect.

Kaka is still a good player, just not close to the "One of the Best Players in the World" title he was a few years ago in Milan. He could, should, stay in Europe.

He is not world class anymore...

Could do well in a smaller team.
