1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

This just in: Barcelona '12-'13 Home and Away kits! (Seems to me these are coming out earlier this year than even last year...)

He's been told he's going nowhere. Besides which, nobody'll have him, at least nobody he'd want to play for. He'll either come good next season or just fade away whilst drawing a huge pay check until everyone's forgotten he's still there. Without Drogba he might get the focal point role that he's been hankering. However, with Chelsea being linked with every striker over 20 million quid--Falcao, Hulk, Cavani--he might not.

Not keen on that Barca strip. They've often had fairly rotten away strips but if you've got one of the most iconic strips in world football, why play in what appears to be a cycling kit? All going wrong - the manager leaves, they slip up in the league and in Europe, and now they have to play in this.

Torres was the focal point under Villas-Boas while Drogba was black-listed and for what result?

+1 on Barca kit, as shitty as it gets.

Yes Torres got playing time while Drogba was at the African Cup and failed to produce. But the team was still trying to play as if Drogba was up top, which was never going to work with Torres.

Ultimately, I wouldn't try to draw many conclusions from performances under AVB. That was a very bad period that is best forgotten. Look what Lukaku said about AVB yesterday for example. Few players were happy.

He played in some carling cup games, at the end of a few games in January, and the last game of the season. I think he will be loaned out next season, which will be great. When we bought Marko Marin it was suggested Lukaku might go to Bremen on loan next season, but it was not confirmed.

That is the problem with bright young things ...

They move to big clubs and don't play and get average when their counterparts are improving by playing for smaller clubs.
