1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Nice to see Real Madrid handed a win by the substitute ref.

the original ref was the one responsible during the 5-0 (or 6-2?) and so it wouldn't surprise me if he was taken out back and shot for not favoring Madrid in this game.

Except the ball on Ramos wasn't a hand ball. Both commentators dismissed it too. Inside knee, rolls up on his chest.

The Xabi one was, no doubt, but that's how it goes sometimes. I'll take it when it's my team, and complain to no end when it's against me.

Great game though - massively entertaining.

    Agreed.

My "argue for sake of arguing" side wants to harp on that being a still and not possible to see the ball's path of movement, etc. :D

    But whatever.

Wow - not sure if ESPN is partial to Suarez or not...?

The media in the UK hate him so do fans, he gets treated horribly every match, pretty anyone in such a situation would want to leave.

Pfff. Man City. Swansea have a great team there. Deserved the win.

    Hope Newcastle rock them.

Edit: Coloccini really needs a place back in the ArgNT. Give it up already on Demichelis and Burdisso.

And that was nice by Ben Arfa.

    Van Persie: Dang

All that in the time to do one edit. Sheesh!

Nice win by the Gunners, they looked good today. So did Newcastle. Good game, though I wonder what all the hullabaloo between Van Persie and Krul was about?

Arsenal are apparently the first team to produce 4 consecutive comebacks from 0-1 scoreline in the league. however useless that may be, it speaks to some level of consistency at least

Wouldn't it have been funny if Mario Gomez hit 5 against Basel?

Ugly game to watch, that. Really hoped FC Basel could pull the massive upset.

Closer to game time, if anyone has a stable linke to the RM/CSKA game, I'd appreciate it. My normal selection over the last few games have been getting shut down by the feds after 30-35 minutes.
