Has anyone tried this? My RRDS, after almost two months of love, have stretched to about a 32.5 waist (size 30). I'm a true 31, and the fit everywhere else is awesome. I LOVE these jeans but really want to tighten up the waist a bit. Will I lose an inch or so if I hot soak and air dry the waist?

If you soak the waist and let it dry, it will probably shrink down to its original dimension or maybe smaller. If that doesn't work, throwing them (dry) in the dryer on low heat, inside out, should finish the job.

i think this will only work for one or two wearings and it will stretch back out again. just wear a belt.

I did it and they shrank back maybe an inch, just right. I do wear a belt, but it's still kind of annoying. Maybe I should've gone 29, but they might've been too tight in the legs.

Now that that part's washed/rinsed, a quick toss in the dryer from time to time should shrink them back to normal.

Keep in mind that the water will seep up into other parts of the jeans if you attempt to soak one part only
