I soaked my 501STFs for the first time and HOLY CRAP! I never realized how much indigo comes out of them. Within minutes, water was dark blue, the tub is still colored blue and they were dripping blue water when I hung them up to dry.

you owned a pair of PBJs, and you are surprised that when soaked jeans lose indigo.

I've soaked other jeans but never saw them lose THIS much indigo.

Can't stand STFs, but Levi's 501STFUs are really good though.

501 stfs are great for the price. Yeah, they fade. I mean, they're jeans. So?

Personally, I've machine washed and dried mine about four times now and they're still very dark blue. This was following a soak wearing them in a tub of hot water, and a couple of soaks. I've also worn them while replastering a ceiling and a wall, and they've held up remarkably well. And hey, they stood Bond in good stead in the desert in Quantum of Solace.

On a side note, who wants to buy my post-soak 31x34 LVC 1947 501's?
