Question for you guys, how low do you wear the jeans? I have the 501xx STF and if I don't wear them high on my waist, the butt bunches up and it looks really flat (if I wear em low).

Did i get a too big of a size or whats up?

501s have a high rise, and an anti-fit seat. If you want a more modern cut you should have gotten APCs or something.

I decided to give the raw jeans a go and the low-priced ones were the 501 stf. My next pair will be APCs, but not until I can find a store to try em on at. I don't like the idea of ordering jeans w/o trying them on.

Ralfs may be a little pricey compared to APC's since budget seems to be an issue. APC's are a good call, they are relatively nice quality denim, and they are definitely a great price. If you can though, just save while you truly beat the hell out of the 501's and get some really nice ones next. Maybe a nice repro or something depending on the fit you want.

Yeah, this is how I wear my Premium E 501's (I don't cuff 'em anymore, just let it bunch up on top of my sneaker).

ok... first thing, did you wash them yet? if not that could be part of it.

if you are sagging them, then you will have that **********, due to the anti-fit.

i wear mine on my hip bone. no ass problems, but i wear lee repros, so i dont know hom much more anti fit the levis are. ive had vintage redlines tho, and wearing them the same i never had that problem, tho ****** may just be bigger than yours.

I washed them first thing I got them to have them shrink to me somewhat. When I wear them on my hips they're not too bad, I get like ass creases though.

I really like low-rise jeans tho, any "cheap" selvage ones i can get for that?

I was looking at H&Ms "Nudie Fakes" that seemed good, but i'm not sure. I kind of want to get iinto the whole selvage jean thing, so hm

Is there a reason, exactly, why you want selvage? Coz they will feel the same as a non-selvage pair of jeans. And if its to cuff them to show them off, its not the wisest choice to cuff a pair of RAW selvedge: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=20994

I've never had a pair of selvage, I just want one to KNOW I have a pair. I don't cuff my jeans.

I don't understand why there's this sudden fascination with all things selvage. It has almost no practical impact on anything. Sonick: those look like New Standards to me, not Rescues, which would make them not selvage. Not that it really matters.

I thought Rescues were but New Standards weren't? I may have mixed that up with New Cures or something.
