So i've got to say that "older" women rock.

IMO any woman who doesn't want kids has issues. This is my opinion based on a number of women I've dated with this outlook. The caveat to this is I am talking of women who are 100% certain, not ones who aren't sure and haven't lived life enough yet.

I could tell you some stories...

Also women who want to have kids have issues, IMO. Basically, I guess everybody has issues. If you are lucky, you'll find someone whose issues are compatible with yours.
Good luck GQgeek. I met my current woman about 11 years ago, then she was 38, I was 34.

GQ, glad things are well. I'm torn on this one, myself. Just spent the weekend with a wonderful 34-year old French woman in Marseille (I'm 26). I think my ultimate decision is that there are benefits to both older and younger. Older women know what they want out of life, know how to get it, and aren't afraid to talk about it. And they, well, know what they're doing, to put it tenderly. On the other hand, younger women can have a sense of wonder about the world that I still find beautiful, especially when I swoop in as a bit of an unusual type. The best part is that there are lots of both in the world, and no reason to restrict yourself to one or the other [IMG] Tom

I date an older woman. She's 29 and I'm 25. We've been together for 2 years and are moving in together this weekend. We're also planning a move out of Detroit sometime this year. I'm pretty excited for that.

I agree, you think 30's fun, try a late 30's or 40 year old woman when you are 26. That's the real deal. BTW: A 30 year old woman is apt to change her mind about a family in NYC at about 35-37.

    sounds good GQ!

**proceed with some caution tho....I was in a similar position when I was 26, with a 30 year old and she was also, coincidentally, in the highend fashion industry, and said a lot of the same things to me that it sounds like your date said to you. In the end when things crashed and burned a couple months later (it was like going from 100mph and hitting a brick wall within 5 secs) it was under the most absurd of circumstances that I never could have predicted, just one of those personality quirks that go along with 30, hot, single, no maternal instinct, successful, etc. at least I got back my cds that I let her borrow.**

but good luck, sounds like this might have some serious potential for you

I lucked out one summer when I was 23 and was dating a 42 year old woman. Gorgeous body, took great care of herself, nice fake cans, and a ton of money. We'd only hangout on weekends which consisted of going to a club, getting fucked up on drugs, then spending the remainder of the weekend eating and lounging around her massive condo. I didn't even have a car, just a studio apartment, so this was heaven.

And she was a squirter. That was probably the best part.

Thanks for sharing. [IMG] Are you trying to compete for attention with the King of Bling? Maybe you should be more outrageous.

I thought this was a thread about older women. That was my best older-woman experience.

uh, 4 years older than you are is not an "older woman". try at least 10 to 15.

    seed

Yeah....four years doesn't exactly make her "Mrs. Robinson." I dated a 35 yo woman when I was 20. That was ok. Now I'm 33 and all I want is barely legal girls....well just physically anyway.[IMG]

Considering I'm usually dating early-20s girls, it's a huge difference, so it definitely qualifies as "older" in my book. I don't think I'd want to be dating a 40yr old. Ashton Kutcher, I am not, and most 40yr old women don't have bodies like Demi Moore. I think 30 is the sweet-spot.

WRT being cautious with her, I'm still thinking about that. It's hard not to get excited after you've been dating for so long and you find a girl that everything seems right with. I think she's being sincere with what she says to me though.

    I think 30 is the sweet-spot.

BTW, you do realize the fallacy of your reasoning here, right? If 30 is the sweet spot in your mind and the chick is already 30, there is only one way to go.
