1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Like the world turns into Nintendo. And time gets really, really, slow. Sunrise / clouds look sick.

I was quite serious about psychedelics for a while.

I think I reached my zenith/nadir when I marinated 2500 mushrooms in 3 litres of
absinthe. I had a blast, but I lost my weight in friends.

Thing about LSD is to keep the dose light and do it without a feeling stress or duress. The more relaxed and happy you feel, the better the trip will be.

Generally I think it's better in wide open natural spaces rather than intense club environments - I found overnight beach parties in particular to be quite stimulating - and in the end, it's like all other narcotics. It's great fun until it isn't anymore and then, if you're sensible and intelligent, you stop.

You must have a pretty productive life OP. Chilling out on a Wednesday afternoon recovering from last nights acid trip.

I think we have all had our phases, just make sure it doesn't turn into some sort of habit. That is when the real spiral starts.

    Phase > Fling > Habit > Regret

and chilled with some friends, some strangers, and wandered around for a bit, drank a lot, heard music, generally had an excellent time

the recurring theme of the trip, though, was actually that i don't NEED acid or any kind of drug to feel good about myself, and to shine

so i woke up this morning after four hours of sleep and i feel amazingly refreshed - the sun is shining, the sky is blue, etc

all in all very good for the self-esteem. a lot of you guys dont mess with this kind of stuff, right? any general advice on stuff?

Set and Setting are all you need to remember, Oman. That, and if things start to spiral out of control mentally, that you are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and stars. You have a right to be here. Or whatever it is the Desiderata says.
Oh, and try and make sure its not too heavily cut with Strychnine.

+1 to all of this except you need to choose chunkier friends. I cant imagine doing it in a crowded club or at a concert but I think this greatly depends on the personality of the user. For me its all about the mind trip and the closeness you feel toward your dearest friends, therefore intimate cozy settings did it for me. Im 48 and my last trip was in my early 20's. For me the experience profoundly enriched my life but I have seen others for whom it was terribly destructive. Its kind of a trial by fire.
