I think that it looks pretty good, but yes, I am 5'11", and a medium in the 2011 stark originally went past my butt. So, I washed it on hot and tumbled dried it most of the way, to get a lot of shrinkage, and now it's just slightly shorter than what you have on now. If you want to get bit of shrinkage, just wash the thing on warm, and then flat dry, stretching it out laterally, and vertically to the length that you desire.

I'd be careful washing/drying wool, really easy to just turn into a mangled mess

likely easier to just size differently than trying to shrink it...or better still, embrace the fit

I strongly disagree. DIY projects are fun. Make your clothes work for you. And don't worry about them too much, whether it's a $30 tee shirt or a $300 sweater or a $3K leather jacket.

Also, it's funny that people bitch about the fit that they don't like, but when someone dislikes a fit that they do like, they urge people to "embrace the fit". Be consistent, guys.

generally, I totally agree. with wool, I've heard horror stories...here no less. but it's your sweater, so do what you'd like

not sure what the subtle jab about my suggestion to embrace the fit was about though

How do the stark roll necks fit compared to the cardigans, about the same?

Oxblood Stark, XL (6' 2'', on the wrong side of 200). The color is just sick; Bordeaux is an awesome color-way, but I think this season's Oxblood absolutely trumps it. The olive green threads combine with the bright red ones over a background of burgundy-ish "Bordeaux" to make a range of colors ranging from darkish brown to burgundy -- as if an actual ox was gored and I used its drying blood to color my knit. Morbid image huh? Well, here's a fit pic to hopefully take that away:

My old medium (2 years ago)
    chest: 19
    shoulder: 17
    length: 28

Looks like I'd have to size up one this season. (and still not get the same length)

I wonder if they tweaked the fit even more this season. I got one from last season with the "new fit" and I sized pretty much TTS.

The color is Concrete. It's pretty much the best color of all time IMO (better than the Triple Gray for this season).

Mind if I ask what pants you are wearing there....

As for Concrete being the best colourway... I'd have to disagree....

    for my its

    1)Oxblood Mix
    2) Triple Gray
    3) Navy Mix

for top 3 colourways... and I'd happily take any in XL if I could find them for $250 shipped lol.

Picked up the last Grey "unmixed" stark from Mr.Porter. Might be the last one on the internet. Checked every single stocklist on sns website even japan and none had the grey stocked or listed.

Can anyone similar in build to me recommend sizing for a Stark? The measurements I'm seeing online are literally all over the place. I'm 5'6", 140 lbs, 38" chest. Thanks!
