I've got a black Stark (old fit, size XL) that's too long on me and an army green Stark (new fit, size L) that's not quite big enough. Thinking about selling them both and getting it right with an XL in the new fit...

    Hey guys,

Sorry if this has been covered, I did a search of the thread but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm looking at buying a prior season full zip Fisherman - I'm 5'9 140 and wear Small in most everything (including a SNS Herning t-shirt I have). Fit should be fine for the jacket, right? Thanks in advance...

    Gotta agree with Jet.

It looks oversized on the model, I guess when I saw Fok's pictures I was envisioning something a bit tighter and more militaristic. But damn, those sleeves are long.

Memento in Blue it is then.

That dude is wearing his about 3 sizes too large. For reference, I have 2 colors of the cardigan, and it fits about the same as my Starks (slimmer and shorter than FW11, but a bit more loose compared to FW12).

It's a pretty heavy knit, heavier than the Stark, so I pulled it down so that there was not so much bunching, which I find with all S.N.S Herning knits before they wear in and "fall out" a little. I've gotten a single day's use out of it so far, so it feels a little stiff. I think that people who own the heavier SNS Herning knits (The Stark is among the lightest of the knits, ime) will understand what I am taking able. The fit is looser than the FW12 Stark, and about the same tightness as the FW10 stark. Not sure what else to say.

    i want one of those.

been wearing my stark on the daily lately. its so good in rainy overcast climates, can see why this stuff comes in handy out a sea.

it's like chain mail that keeps you warm

I find that with a sweater like this, a heavier leather jacket (my Margiela 5-zip is about my lightest leather jacket,) and you are pretty set for pretty much the coldest weather. The knit keeps you warm, and the leather cuts the wind. If you are in Montreal or Edmonton during a blustery day, you need a thick scarf, a toque and some warm gloves, but your core is pretty much good to go.

yep, it's the ticket for sure. a nice little furnace for the darker months. also like the fact it's not a shawl, keeps the lungs and all that stuff warm.

gonna go for the scandinavian formula and wear it under a stutterheim. rain, what rain?

A lot of my extended family has been based on Calgary for a generation, and I used to hike a lot to Banff and Jasper, so I've been to Edmonton many times - usually during the summer though.

I find that I don't really need it in rainy weather, and that in the fall, a S.N.S Herning over a tee is pretty much all I need to wear until it dips below about 50F (10C).
