Someone on MC recently told me that if you notify the shipping company beforehand, they are obliged to allow you to pay the duties fees directly to customs, eliminating the brokerage fees.

I am yet to try this out.

Yes, similar for me. Except my VAT is only 15%. But it gets charged on the total [(item +shipping)x 10%]x15%

I got my black melange Stark today. I dunno. It fits pretty much exactly the same as the Stark I got 2 years ago. Not shorter, not tighter, not anything.

because adding a disclaimer stating, "you are responsible for customs, which are sometimes charged for products shipping outside of your country" takes a lot of work?

jesus christ guys I know this. I was speaking in the op's defense, these companies should inform you any additional costs associated with your purchase because not everyone who shops on their site is aware of this.

Sounds like you know the rules of the game. This applies for all international orders and is always a risk. Knowing trade and tax laws of your country is not the responsibility of the shop.

Quit making stupid posts about this shit.

*edit* If you want to bitch about something, go bitch about brokerage fees which often seem exorbitant, you don't know the amounts in advance, and you have no control over the matter. There's something worth bitching about.

You can leave a CC on file for them to charge, if/when customs happens. I did this once, and Fedex still ignored it and charged me a customs fee and did not charge the CC.

it could just be by color... the smaller ones seem to be the colors that are new for this fall (triple blue, purple, etc), while LA Guy got the black melange which they did last year and could have just been older stock?
On the other hand - black melange as well, measurements definitely run small - http://indigoandcotton.com/sns-herning-knit-cardigan-stark-black-melange/

Anybody pick up the stark pullover? Tempted to grab one in grey or triple blue....

Yeah, just an update. So I bought a 2012 Stark, Navy/Small (my measurements are like 5'11", 155lb + 35.5" chest) and the Small fits very, very slim.

It looks great unbuttoned w/ a t-shirt underneath and slightly tighter when buttoned up, but I can't imagine layering a dress shirt underneath, it would be too tight + awkward looking. I would opt for a Medium in that case.

As for length, it's perfect. Falls over the belt for me.
