SnowSmock

Hi guys, I've been working on something new since revisiting London last summer.
It took me a while to engineer the SnowSmock, probably much longer than it should have
I wanted this piece to be versatile in terms of how you'd wear it but also be able to accommodate different fabrics and weights.
For example, this cut will work for a heavy wool and a light cotton. Reason being, when I find a piece that I like I tend to buy multiples. I plan on having fun with different fabric runs. But to start things off I have chosen a StyleForum classic; thick n crunchy cotton poplin. (A long button up in matching fabric and similar pocket details will be developed later.)

I want to make this collection as cohesive as possible and put out pieces at my own pace.

The Fit:
Boxy. Relaxed. Dropped Shoulders. Easy-fit. Eggy (?). Slightly cropped but will still allow for wear on its own.
I really played around with the neckline and came up with a "boxy U-shape"

The Sizing:

+Small/36/46: This is the size I am wearing (5'6" 130 pds)
Shoulder to shoulder(Dropped shoulder) 20"
Chest 24"
Sleeve length 22.5"
Arm hole 9.5"
Body Length (from back of collar) 24"
Pocket bag 7.5" x 10.75"

Grading will be done accordingly but the fit is easy. Size it around your normal size chest :)

The Details:
+Heavy cotton poplin (approx. 8-10 ounces) is silky but stiff. Suitable for spring summer and will make for a great layering piece in fw.
+French seams throughout.
+Removable Pocket bag. The offset pocket bag breaks up the clean lines but is still very uniform. I've always liked welt seams and ever since buying Helmut Lang inside out denim I've had a thing for pocket bags too
+The buttons are hand sewn. *I plan to add a third button in the middle to get rid of the cute derp face and make it into a horizontal snowman.
+The tag is an amalgamation human and machine. It will be laser cut out of the same cotton poplin and stitched on. Hand written elements will give this piece a human quality and break up the clean, clinical feel. *pics of the design are shown
+Made in Canada

The Price:
165 USD. shipping is calculated after and will be extra.
I will accept 50% deposits, and the remaining amount before delivery.
PayPal: [email protected]

Need to do a pre order and then book production time and will have this out in may!

Pre order will only last 3-4 weeks

Tag process:

Loro Piano Super 170's (not in production)

I will. And I will take all your moneys!!

I'm working on that and playing with the way the side gusset looks. considering band collar and collarless along with the standard collar

Thanks fuuma :)
Yeah I did. I had the Loro piana version cropped and boxy but it wouldn't lend itself to be worn by itself. This version was lengthened and the shoulders were tweaked in order to keep with the same silhouette.

In the beginning he was a professional fighter

But then he went back to school

Then he made a leather clutch

Followed by some pants so cool

After that he does some furniture

And some trays to go with, he's no fool

Now he's working on smocks and shirts

@snowmanxl , is there anything he can't do???

So some people have been asking about other fabrics I was considering for the snow smock.
Here's some fabrics!
100% shirting cotton (blue fabric)
Silk cotton (patterned fabric)
German corded cloth (very eg imo)
100% wool (dove fabric)

Sipang suggested a boiled wool which I am totally down for. Maybe next release :)

Thanks dudes. I really wanted to put out this clinically stark one as the first piece and go from there.
But maybe an interactive fabric selection??

Boiled wool sounds really nice.

Btw, what boots are those? Can't remember seeing them in previous fits.

Well I'll ask the buyers of this version if they are down to switch to boiled wool and do a run of those.
I don't think I'll make a sample tho. Just find the fabric and post here.

I'd have to price that one out first but I dont intend on it being super expensive.
