Your views remind me of the writings of Wayne Kerr.

And yours have always reminded me of all the other failed graduate students in California, but hey - who gives a damn?

(So much for your 'this is a community' nonsense if you can't even address a rebuttal without the butthurt.)

This is exactly the sort of thing Wayne Kerr would say.

I'm so sorry your hip-hop magazine never made it off the ground. Perhaps if you spent more time on succeeding in your first career choice you wouldn't have to argue about sneakers in your middle age.

I want to hear the story of the hip-hop magazine. Is this an actual reference to Dieworkwear's history? Or is this just a joke? Either way, I found it amusing.

Oh, it's very real. DWW used to be a hip-hop magazine called Subculture. Makes one wonder what exactly his claim to menswear fame is.

You dissing on someone because they started an widely distributed hip hop magazine in their teenage years that connected them with the artists, influencers and tastemakers of that culture/community? What were you doing at 17?

What connection does hip hop (or being involved in any fashion shaping culture) have to menswear or having a basis for relating to classic menswear? Probably more than the douchebags in the Tiesto bottle service line.

Oh sorry, we should all just follow the prescriptions of the guy who thinks the “bad-boy billionaire” look hyped in on Neiman’s website (and more so on IG) is Rad.

What were you doing at 17?

Banging 20-year-olds, competing in national athletics, and generally enjoying life (although I probably could have started university a year earlier), but that's neither here nor there.

The point is that it's a bit rich for someone whose own 'style journey' began with a very modern and arguably bad aesthetic to be critiquing people who've been wearing what he calls 'true CM' since the age of 5 for their stylistic choices, especially when those choices are not being touted as a prescription for others to follow. If someone wants to be an ass about other people's tastes on a public forum, he'd better expect the same in return.

Sour ******* are the only ones worth consuming, doubly so in the case of conservative business dress.
