Do you guys go running in Common Projects/Jack Purcells? If not, what do you run in?

Are you looking for a good running shoe or something that just looks good? When it comes to running I won't buy anything but Brooks. In order for any store to sell Brooks they must have a certified Brooks specialist working there, and that's all they deal with; running shoes.

Furthermore, if you're serious, I recommend going to a store that is able to match the way your foot pronates with the appropriate type of sole. There's a place in Savannah called Fleet Feet that puts you on a treadmill and watches how you run. After an experience like that, you'll never go back to Finish Line to buy running shoes from some high school kid.

I run in Asics. For athletics, looks take a backseat

Adidas Trail Response.

I don't buy into the minimalistic, light-weight, Pose fad. Even if I did I would not run in CPs or Purcells.

Yes there are shoes that look good for running, and no those are not them.

I hate all the guys who flame people for asking stupid questions here, but are you ******* serious about running in Common Projects or Jack Purcells? For starters have you ever worn those shoes? A) They are not that comfortable and B) If you have every run or done ANYTHING remotely athletic a day in your life you would know that style takes a major back seat to comfort considering how much you could screw up you feet, knees, legs, body, etc by not having adequate support.

If you are looking for good running shoes check out anything from New Balance, Asics, Brooks, Nike etc. You’ll find a decent looking shoe that is comfortable and not hard on the eyes to look at. Granted nothing you would choose to wear out, but trust you me when I tell you that you want comfort and performance over looks.

Asics 2100 series. Though Im seriously considering switching to something lighter weight with less support to strengthen my feet better

Asics. I have had some luck with NB and Addidas as well.

If you want to run then start reading running forums for proper footwear... style should be the least of your concerns if you are serious about running.

For my feet, Nike Vomero 3's were the best. I've recommended other types of shoes to other friends of mine based on their running patterns, feet, etc. Running shoes are specific based on gait, pronation, etc. Goto a running store and talk to them about it. Educate yourself. Or if you insist on the internet, check out Runner's World and other similar forums to learn how to best find the proper running shoe for you.

Okay, I'm shallow enough to admit that I like shoes that both look good and perform well. I wear the Pearl Izumi syncro guide. First off, you will need a stride analysis to determine what shoes fit you best. Also, you will have some shoes that don't work off the bat. It all depends on how seriously will be running.
