This spring I received from Chan a blazer with smoked MOP buttons. It was made from a medium blue Harrison's Frontier fabric. It is casually styled with patch pockets.
I have been flirting with the idea of ordering a pair of matching trousers from Chan to convert it to a blazer suit at need. It is already a very versatile garment, going well with trousers in blue seersucker, grey, tan, white or red. Having the option of making it into a blazer suit at will would enhance its versatility even more.
I don't want to remove the MOP buttons for horn buttons, so that is not an option. Bottom line question: Are smoked MOP buttons too casual and blazer-ish for a somewhat casual blazer suit?
