    1) I just had a suit made up in Smith's Fimeresco, and this is the most remarkable cloth I have ever worn, really incredible, swatches do not do it justice.

    2) Does anyone know a source for tweed the quality of NHTC? Teviotex does not do it for me.

    3) Does anyone know where I might get a tweed like Kent is wearing in this photo? I think it is beautiful:

Can't help with the tweeds, but agree on the Smith's Fimeresco. I have been tempted several times but have yet to order.

Who made your suit - Centofanti?

Negrila, though I do have a midnight blue tuxedo in the works at Centofanti and this will be my last Negrila commission for a while. I have enough suits or jacket/trouser combos (18) for my needs, there are too many problems and compromises with Negrila because of the cultural distance, and I plan on having suits made as mementos of any European vacations I take in the future, by the best tailor whereever I visit. Remember, while Negrila is inexpensive, each suit costs me about $800 with material and postage. On this last suit he put a single vent though all the other suits he made for me had double vents (I wanted double vents) and I asked for cuffs, and he forgot.

I don't know if everyone has this problem, but swatches are not terribly helpful for knowing how a fabric will make up, though I imagine this skill might be cultivated. So the Fimeresco swatches I saw were nice, but I had no idea what they would be like as a suit. Had I everything to do over, all my summer suits would be made of this fabric, it is that good.

Many years ago I believe Negrila was the premier tailor in French North Africa.

I don't know if there is an evolution involved here.

    Where is your Negrila brescd01?

The Negrila in the Anne Rice novels lived 450 years.

And the Doctor will be wearing his jackets that long as well if that Fimeresco is as good as he seems to believe.

[IMG] This had me laughing so hard my wife came over to see what the ruckus was about, needless to say she didn't get it.
