I'm sure of you guys have already heard that the iPhone is moving onto the Verizon platform. I might consider getting an i4 if I have the money.

the new web browser on the torch is miles ahead of the older blackberries. It's competitive with the iphone now (it's built on the same webkits code).

I think the new Win7 phones look pretty nice, the interface definitely seems far more clever than the rehashed Palm interface of my iPhone. Been thinking about defecting for a while, but not sure if I want to deal with not having the iPhone ecosystem (car support, gym machine support, etc.)

I love my Palm Pre. I'd say go for the Pre 2 when it comes out. I think AT&T will the sole carrier in the US.

Pros:
Slick Interface
Easy to use
Aggregates all your social networking and email accounts amazingly well
******* cool charger (touchstone)
Very easily customizable. Pretty much open OS, so lots of custom mods available
Nice pocketable size

Cons:
It's not iphone os or android
Keyboard a bit tiny, although I can use it just fine
Battery Life (with ALL touchscreen phones)
Screen is smaller than EVO or iPhone, but it doesn't bother me
No autofocus camera

Don't know about build quality, but the Pre 2 will have a gorilla glass screen, which is a huge upgrade from the regular Pre.

Not to derail your thinking, but I would push network over phone. I have an iPhone on AT&T and there are many days when I would trade it for the most pink, sparkly ugly phone on the Verizon network just to have a damn good signal.

I'll be switching over to Verizon when the iPhone option becomes available. It will be a tossup between it and one of the fully blown droid phones, as it really is a kickass OS.

Conne, YOU deserve an iPhone 4. Only the finest, I think.

When you've played with Sybian, Blackberry, Android Gingerbread, Web OS II, Windows, while all have their strong points, the interface and apps of the iPhone 4win the day.

Treat yourself.

If you're one of those people that hates typing on a touchscreen, the Droid Pro is pretty good - screen is smaller than other android phones, but for me the keyboard makes it an acceptable tradeoff.
