Where is best place to find them at a reasonable price 10-15 (less is better of course) a pair. have a size 7 - 7.5 foot and the whole 7 - 12 range makes all socks a bit too loose for me.

I'm specifically looking for:

-over the calf
-perhaps wool (but not sure if worth it)
-argyle and other interesting patterns (as well as solids, but trying to mix it up).

Any advice? It's easier for me to buy online then go to a store...

Help appreciated. Thanks.

I wear a 7E shoe, so I'm familiar with your frustration.

Member "Rick's Tailoring" was selling some OTC wool argyle socks in B&S a few weeks back for $15 shipped, I don't know if there are still some left.

I have also found some nice socks on Sierra Trading Post (I've only bought mid-calf there, but I imagine they have OTC, too).

Also, check out Viccel. I believe he offers a discount to SF members.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
