Hi everyone, I’m a first-time poster here, but I’ve lurked for a while and found the forums very helpful on a variety of topics. I am hoping that someone may have advice on what I can/should do about a hole I discovered this morning in a new pair of suit pants. The suit is Calvin Klein, purchased from Macy’s less than a month ago. I wore the suit once, to a wedding, and they just came back from the dry cleaner. I suspect the hole was made from inadvertently catching on something sharp, but who knows. I have 2 young kids, so these things happen.

Does anyone have any thoughts about whether this sort of thing can be repaired?

I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

That’s too bad. The only good way of repairing the hole is by a reweaving service. I’ve never used one but Without A Trace in Chicago gets good reviews around here. This is fairly specialized so it’s not cheap. Something like this could run you $50-100 but it’s cheaper than a new suit. Is there any chance the suit comes as separates (I.e. can you just buy a new pair of trousers?)

Thank you for the suggestion. I actually just realized that I did buy this suit as separates, and I recall the trousers were far less than the jacket. That is probably my best bet. Thanks again!
