Its getting cold here in the north country and I need new slippers. Anyone have a recommendation for a pair of warm and comfortable slipper. Also a good place to purchase them.
Thank you

If you really want warm slippers, try Draper's shearling or sheepskin lined slippers. I bought a pair for my grandfather and he seems to like them very much.

Draper of Glastonbury, mentioned in the post above and available from several outlets including Ben Silver, Carroll and Co, and direct from Draper. Also Morlands, less well known in USA, but available by post from company at www.morlandssheepskin.co.uk/. Nice traditional English sheepskin slippers that will last a long time. Allen Edmonds has a sheepskin lined moccasin slipper this season, also nice, and available with a driving moc sole if you want.

Hand-sewn, handmade (to order), great prices + sellers: http://www.townviewleather.com/moosehidemoccasins.html Be sure to opt for the $15 deerskin lining. Well worth it. More expensive, also handmade to order, more widths + replaceable soles: http://quoddystore.com/catalog/produ...products_id=46

Soft

Maybe Lambland? Haven't purchased slippers from them though, so I can't tell which quality you can expect. Bought some other things though and the service was decent.

Not soft

Broadland Slippers are beautiful. You probably want half a size larger than normal.
