Slip stitch on ties: what to do with them?

Hi All,

I have a number of ties with a slip stitch running through them. My Carlo Franco (GREAT tie), Attolini, Bizzochochi, etc. What is one to do with the stitch? Is it to be manipulated, pulled, tugged, etc to adjust the tie? Need instructions.

Leave it alone unless that tie needs to be adjusted.

Yeah those Carlo Francos are just amaz... aw crap, you guys know those are mine...

Anyway...
The slip Stitch helps the tie conform to and return to it's natural shape. As the esteemed gentleman from the city of Angels recommends you can leave it be for the most part. If you pull on it the tie will gather up and can then be smoothed back to it's regular shape.

How to make it irrelevant - DO NOT pull on my ties - I don't yank your kid's arm ...

untie a tie by reversing the tying process and be kind to it and it will last much longer.
