On a coworker's recommendation, I've recently had a suit made by his visiting tailor from Bangkok. I'm happy with the fabric, price and trousers however the sleeves are too large, making my wrist basically float inside the jacket with excess fabric hanging down when holding my arm up. Is it worthwhile--in both price and quality of the end product--to have a tailor take a shot at slimming the sleeves?
On a side note, the lesson learned here is: don't have a suit made without a second fitting. He took one set of measurements and six weeks later mailed the complete suit. Would've been apparent on the second fitting that I lack the Popeye arms to sufficiently fill the jacket.
