I'm still confused. Say I pick a pair of dress pants that says 36(US), what size is that relating to jeans?

    29-30.

How do you know length of the pants?

They almost always come unhemmed, so you have to go to a tailor to have them brought up to the correct length for you. If they are hemmed, they usually state the length in the description.

Not technically streetwear but I wear them in a 'dressy streetwear' context

Me too. I think Streetwear could use more "dressy posts".

I don't own any pants like this, but the April GQ has a 6 page spread on "khakis."

The Belstaff and Mason's cargo's looked good. Neil Barret and Jil Sander looked interesting, but too slim.
    Everything else was boring.

I'd love a pair of these. They're made by this PPQ brand.

Lots of companies, ranging from Costume National to Diesel, makes slim-fit, low rise pants. Look around, take advantage of SF's various discounts on the net, and pamper yourself. [IMG]

I tried on IE too, and only the first two links from the first link worked...or are those the only ones that work in the first place?

Hmm, I'm on IE right now, and they all work for me. That is really wierd. I'll ask j. to look into this. Try refreshing that page and try again, if you don't mind.

    29-30.

Umm, no, US sizing has no such thing. You're thinking of suit size. A size 36 suit, if it has a 6 inch drop has size 30 trousers.

If the trousers alone says 36 US, it's going to be a 36 inch waist.

    website is European

    pants are European

They rarely say "36 US" on them. In fact, Ive never heard of pants that say "36 US." they say "46," and thats a 29-30" waist.
