I know there are lots of brands that make slim fitting dress shirts, but what about really casual sports shirts? I'm thinking like jcrew, banana republic, lacoste, or other brands that college students would wear.

I haven't had any luck finding sport shirts that have a "slim" fit option, they seem to all come in the same fit

Brooks Brothers has their Back to Campus lineup, which has some nice looking casual shirts. I was at the local BB tonight and saw a couple of flannel-looking shirts in extra-slim fit that I liked.

Wait for Brooks to have a 3/$150 sale. Then go with either the extra slim fit or the slim fit. If you really want it tighter, just size down in the neck since you're not going to button the top anyway. That way you can grab a shirt with a real collar instead of the microsized thing J Crew puts on the top of their shirts

*You may have to order online to get the must-irons in slim fit
