I recently got some olive Left Field chinos from Blue Owl, which are now shamefully posted in my signature. They are a really fantastic heavy twill, made in USA, but I got the wrong size on sale so that's why they are for sale... They are wider at the ankle than I'd like, but with some tapering they'd be perfect. I"ll probably try to grab the correct size if I can get rid of the ones I've got. Check them out for sure. They are the only decent olive chinos I've found after searching for awhile. Dockers, Bills, W&H, etc. Billy Reid also has some nice ones, but they are kind of pre-distressed, which is not something I'm looking for in chinos. Maybe you are?

Hmm...if you look at the side view, they don't look as tapered as the waders or SF, even though they say tapered leg. Don't know why they stopped selling waders, although I guess you can still pick them up at Urban Outfitters.

They are called the Emerson. They actually fit really nice. They taper to what I would guess is a 15 inch opening and have a higher rise which I like to dress up. The fabric is also soft. Nice cross between the j crew urban slim and Bowery pant. The pics on banana republic website are a terrible representation of the fit.

What do you think about the Alpha Khakis by Dockers? They seem to fit rather well on the models. Hows the fabric?

Hi, as these Schneider pants are not available anymore, I'm looking for an alternative in same/similar cut, material and color.

Of course the overall fit should be a bit slimmer than on this model...
Relaxed top and tapered bottom would be a bonus.

    Any ideas?

Yeah I know, but the "model" probably sized up something like 2 on these. So not the best example.
Anyway I like the color and fabric and was looking for something similar.

Maybe I'm in the wrong thread?

So i got some info about IOU Project Chinos (The Chino). Kavita, the founder has been a pleasure to chat with and has been very helpful. The Chino is made of Italian material, twill, i believe the dyes are from Italy as well. Here are some pictures and sizing info.

Color is army green. It's probably the second most popular color of chinos after chewed gum.
    They also look mega slouchy.
Do the pants have an elastic waist or is it me?

They make good golf pants, no big deal if they get dirty.

Those were my go-to work pants last f/w -- wore 2x/week from Oct-June. Odd that you hot-soaked them -- how much do you think they shrunk. I ask b/c the SA at the store didn't seem to think they'd shrink much and suggested I go tts. I lost about a half-inch in waist/length with cold wash, but they stretched back out right away.

The only nit I can pick is that the canvas backing shrunk more than the pants fabric, resulting in some peaching around the waist/pockets. Ironing takes it out, or a few wears. I may pick up another pair this year, in blue. I also wonder who makes them for BiG.
