Epaulet are awesome, great looking chinos. Just been looking through this thread and realised I just bought some khaki/chino-esque pants from Engineered Garments. Not sure if they're *exactly* what people are looking for but they might fit the bill. They're called Desert Pants and I bought mine in olive, though they're also available in Khaki. I was in H&M with the old lady this weekend, and on a whim picked up two pairs of chinos that I noticed hidden away against a wall. They fit relatively slim, have a nice taper to them (not too much, not too little) and quality-wise I'd put them with Gap/J Crew/ Lands End Canvas. They seem pretty well made, the fabric isn't especially heavy so they'll be chilly in winter but they'll work well for Fall, Spring and maybe even summer.

I think they'll make a nice alternative to denim in my wardrobe and the best part, $35 each. Not bad for some chinos I can beat up.

I'm still considering getting those Epaulet chinos once the restock comes in, those look like pure sex.

These were pushed away on one of the back racks, so they may be old stock or something like that.

I don't usually shop at H&M (I find a lot of their stuff just doesn't fit...most of it seems to be built for the man with a feminine figure), but I think these were a pretty good deal. It seems that H&M stores each seem to carry different stock, it's very hit or miss trying to find stuff from one store to the next.

i love the jcrew urban slims buuut the consistency varies.. my one pair is an inch smaller at the waist and almost 2 inches shorter.. same size..

i just found out tho that jcrew will tailor anything you buy with the jcrew card... for free.. i ordered the "essential chinos" since i could get them in a 27" inseam (im short) but i could take all my 30's in to have hemmed for free. i say its totally worth it..

urban slims are nice taper and knee, but with out having such a tight upper half that you look like a cowboy when you tuck in your shirt.

Just got my Dickies Skinny Double Knees from dickies.com today. They are pretty damned skinny. I oculd size down a bit in the waist but my calves completely fill the lower leg. Softer than standard dickies, which usually have that polyester feel to them? I'll have to wear them a few times to get an idea if I like them or not and most likely I will be investing in a seam ripper in a few days to rid them of their logos.

Alternative chinos fits pretty well, it may taper too much for some though, but for it fits very well.

^Where did you get those from?

I ordered a couple different pairs from Urban Outfitters yesterday since they have 10% off and free shipping. I'll let you guys know how they fit once I get them. I was looking for a light pair and a slightly darker beige.

Got those from Macys. Some might find the inseam too short though, I am not particularly tall and the length is just right on me.
