Hi, I am having a real problem here and after having ordered about 3 shirts and buying 2 more last min purchases I am not able to find a formal shirt that I like that fits.

I need a pleated front with a lay down collar. For size I am a 15 neck with a 35 sleeve length. Everything I have bought ends up being simply massive or the sleeves are too short. Normally I would have tried to get them taken in at the sides but when I tried it it messed up the pleated front so that it buckles all over the place.

FYI, I fit perfectly into a brooks brothers ESF 15x35, or an Italian cut Borrelli in 39 with minor darts in the back.

You might want to try TM Lewin. Charles Tyrwhitt also does a slim fit formal shirt but not ESF. I have had good experiences getting CT slim fit shirts taken in.

Buy more Italian? If Borrelli fits why change?

I can't seem to get my hands on any borrelli formal shirts. The other one that I would really like to try is a tom ford shirt however I can't seem to find those either. (there is a guy on this forum selling them but he has not been on in months)
