Slightly cheaper alternative to these lovely Alden cordovan boots?

I'm heartbroken. I found the most amazing pair of Alden boots but I just can't stomach the $700 price tag. I was hoping to keep my spending below 400, but I'll go up to 500 if I can find a good alternative to these:

Probably not the answer you're looking for, but you can just save up for a little longer and get exactly what you want.

I have the money; I just don't think $700 is a sensible amount to spend on footwear (especially when one has a family to provide for) unless you make a ton of money.

Check the Alden thread . Those are Alden for J Crew color 8 perforated cap toe . Lots of them around should be able to find a pair for @ 4-500. I bought a pair off SF buy and sell for $425 couple years ago
