Nice styling with the longer toecap - also looks like it is on a narrower last than usual. Of course if you look at most AEs in a C width they all look sleeker.

I had taken notice of this shoe as well. They offer this in several spectator versions, too. It looks nice, although there's A LOT of broguing going on.

They should have merged those two middle brogue "stripes" on the sides into one. That would really clean up that design.

Good on them! I really like the grained calf -- works well on a wingtip like that. Regarding merging the brogue strips -- Hermes had a model a few years ago that was similarly "OB"'ed (overbrogued, for those of us who are not fans of Ima Gonna Git Ya Sucka). It's kind of neat.

One of the nicer AEs I've seen.

Agree. It's a nice shoe. Too bad it doesn't fit me. Why oh why must A-E bring out all their new styles on that $#%*ing new #8 last?

The Zappos page has some good views, as usual...
Where did you see the spectator version?

Nice shape but a bit of a brogue-verkill. The mid-affectation between the toe definition and the vamp could probably have been omitted.
I have some vintage English shoes (Church's, C&J) that are brogued as liberally and I just can't get that excited about them. In their favor, they are slightly more substantial than these shoes and I think that helps them carry the look a little better. Sorry for being critical, overall those are really good looking shoes. Did you get yourself a pair?

+1 , I saw these on Thursday (when I picked up some Burtons in burboun) and was not impressed. Of course it did not help that the display model was a size 14!

Yes, they are quite gorgeous. There's also a spectator in brown and ivory leather. Sadly, the linen spectator featured in a previous edition of Shoe Wrap doesn't seem to have made it into production.
