Here is a loafer that has amazing design lines, very sleek and somewhat narrow toe.

We all know the quality of Ferragamo, but is there any other brand that does a similar design, sans the buckle, and which is cheaper? I like this loafer a lot of its sleek look.

    Thank you

Pretty low standard for this line of drivers?

All drivers are pretty much the same shape and sleekeness, just look around. This is a bit like looking for a sleek boat shoe.

Urgh, that buckle design is disgusting.

Cheaper alternatives made by Ralph Lauren, Gant, Boss, Fin's, The Car Shoe (terrible name).

Not sure what the variation is in quality with regard to price, but I personally wouldn't spend more than about £150 on a pair of driving shoes.

    Nothing "sleek" about that...

Paying even $225 for drivers is silly to me. The design results in excessive toe wear, so they are pretty much toast after a year or two.

I don't think I'd pay more than $100 for these things.

Gaziano Girling make some fantastically sleek loafers - there's an incredible pair on the deco line

In terms of drivers, I don't think I've ever seen a pair that could be described as sleek - it doesn't really fit their purpose

Yeah, thats if you use them as drivers. If you wear tods on the street they're burnt after a few months.

But you can find cheap alternatives on ebay

    Why not so?
What would a sleek loafer look like in your opinion?

tods are the worst, and they are expensive as hell.

I've had cheap bacco buccis and ralph lauren that last a year or two with regular, but not abusive wear.
