Slacks??

    Is there some history of pants that I'm missing that requires most slacks to have 2 buttons (one on the inside and one on the outside)? It just seems to make more of a hassle.

    It prevents the waistband from sagging at the fastening point. Some pants actually have three fastening points (which aren't always buttons): one on the left on the inside, one in the center, and the third on the right.
