We have different types of synthetic soles because different manufacturers wan to sell you their alternative to leather outsoles. Will there be differences? Likely yes - but they will be small and mostly subjective. I have pretty much every type of outsole on the market and they all get worn in winter and they are all slippery on ice. Because ice. If I fall on ice it's not because of my outsole. It's because I wasn't being careful enough.

Anyone know the difference between the John Lobb Harlyn and the Chambord II?

I am in for armagnac or cognac Kingsley, but depends on the final specs like last, sole, edges, etc.

I am also open to shell with suede shaft. They should look nice and will bring down the cost.

Thanks CC - I was about to call it and we’d just get separate MTOs ;-)

@Leaves
Is Skoak moving away from all other makers and planning on carrying only Lof & Tung in the future?

I'm a massive fan of L&T, and I can say that I'm 99 % more likely to buy L&T over Carlos Santos. This puts me in a position where their restocks of EB/L&T is the most interesting.

I wish they would put out more EB make-ups though, even if I'm unlikely to buy anything but MTO at this point.

Pretty big EB spring drop upcoming around March.
