I'm considering the Enzo Bonafe 3964 split-toe derby. Archive images are a bit hard to view; does anyone have images of this model with the reverse split-toe (presumably the exclusive "skin stitch apron" option)? Cheers.

@BespokeBeirut Here is a few. Actually I need to change that text since it´s a little misleading. It should be hand stitched apron with skin stitch split toe.

Better customer service.

what he said^

Ordering a StC can be tricky esp for a beginner. If you are after a standard makeup, going direct or through a retailer like Skoatie should be fine.

Where it gets tricky is, if you are wanting to customise an order with many or even a few minor details. What I've learned in the past is, StC recieves an order via an excel sheet/template and that is pretty much the be-all and end-all. So if your order is not correctly captured in this format either through a retailer or direct with PC, the end result will often be less than desired. And the thing is we often do not get to check this ordering sheet...

StC is somewhat elusive, the possibilities are endless, even the most experienced retailer may not necessary know it all.

Good luck and we are all here to help should you ever decide to venture into the world of StC.

That is good to know. I only had one MTO from StC directly. Not sure how the process (mail the sample shoes) will be like through a retailer if I do last adjustment.

It is also the possibility to try stuff on, meet Carr when he's in Stockholm...

I think the most important aspect of it all is the ability to talk and discuss it with Erik and the rest of the gang; I have not MTO:d a StC yet, but I probably have 7 or 8 pairs of MTO Bonafés, and the help, experience and input I have recieved from Massimo and Silvia, Erik, Olof, Patrik, Calle, Douglas, Dannefalk and all the other people at the shop made it all so much more fun and beautiful.

My make ups have been very specific when I enter, to be open for any input, into becoming a great piece at the end. Without the ability to discuss it with people who have experience in the field, you end up not knowing dos and don't.

I think that's the most important aspect of it all, and @Leaves have hand-picked his staff over the years to always be super impressive with their knowledge, being up front telling me what will work and not - but also just being super friendly and welcoming despite the shop being quite ... scary with the very upscale environment.

Thanks for the comment. I found that EB is the end game for my shoe collection. Talking to Mehra, I realized that they basically can do everything I want at high quality. 4 MTOs of EB on the way.
