I took advantage of the recent sale to try out some Sozzi socks; they just arrived and I couldn't be more pleased. I'm a bit of a sock nut* and have lots of experience with Pantherella, Marcoliani, and others but this is my first Sozzi's. I had been a little wary of the alpha sizing, but I'm a US10.5 and the mediums fit as well as other brands in numbered sizing.

I'll also say that sale pricing was great, but even regular pricing is better than normal; good socks are expensive but these are very competitively priced - win, win!

*I took a tip to heart from an SF'er a long time ago that basically said: nice socks make you feel great; and having a small stockpile to pull out a fresh pair when, inevitably, an existing pair needs to be retired, is a small way to make one feel like a big timer. I've maintained just such a stockpile for years and, whenever a good pair finally succumbs, having a fresh new pair on hand to replace it immediately puts a smile on my face. The little things...

wool socks is handwash though?
I machine wash my wool socks on cold as delicates in mesh laundry wash bags using " The Laundress - Wool & Cashmere Shampoo" (avail on Amazon and elsewhere). I then spin them, still in the mesh bags, in the dryer on no-heat, just fluff, for about an hour and they're good to go. Hope that helps!

edit: I thought it might help to explain the shampoo - most detergents strip/break down the natural lanolin present in wool which is a large part of what gives it that soft feel. "Wool shampoos" clean but without stripping the lanolin and and other natural aspects of the wool. No joke, it makes my wool socks literally feel like new every time. A bit extra money and effort, for sure, but I feel it's worth it.

Would recommend so; I bought several pair of Sozzi wool and my wife put them in the dryer. None fit anymore.

Machine wash delicates. But as mentioned, dryer is a no no.

I never hand wash mine.
