There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I'd go with a 270 degree handwelt from EB over a blake rapid any day, which is what I have on my spectators from this summer. Some hopefully convincing images:

Very slim and sleek on the 804 last.

Please email sales@skoaktiebolaget.se for questions regarding order status. We are quoting 4 months for any Carmina MTO/GMTO since a while back.

U-wing spectator in linen and (probably) dark brown llama calf (or green, which looks amazing, but not as versatile as brown). Something like this poorly photoshopped picture, but on the 363MOD last.

First and foremost. Very nice looking shoes. These are the spectators Skoab had in store this year, right? They were the shoes that got me the idea of making a spectator MTO.
Regarding blake/handwelt i think I will go with your recommendations. I don't think EB is not sleek enough, it was more that it would be interesting to test blake rapid (never owned a pair with that construction).

    Hi there @ericgereghty .
I thought I'd let you know that I've got a spectator GMTO going, we already have our 3 guys but will be going ahead with this somewhere in Jan.
The makeup will be very similar to the pics posted by tdes81.
The color combination will be Vitello Giamaica (same as the above pictures) and Hidro Lino (instead of linen), in the 804 last. On leather soles.
If this might interest you, you can drop me a PM.
    Cheers.

By the way @hmlarsson , your makeup looks pretty nice as well. Those U wings will look fairly unique.

Maybe it is just me but the side looks very "3D" . It looks like they stuck on the side with a cut-out window in the middle

Looks kind of odd like someone stuck another layer on to a captoe derby model to make it into this model.

Are these the same boots? The real life shots from @dalevy and @venividivicibj make the waist and heel look A LOT slimmer!

It's just a function of there being what seems like quite a bit of curvature to the shoe around the heel and waist. I quite like it. I would be interested to know if those hidden seams at the waist similar to that chelsea are an option on mto's though. @Skoaktiebolaget

I'd like to try it on the next one.

@hmlarsson rifare in japan carried an enzo spectator last year in green calf and linen.

    it was AMAZING.

i posted a pic of it sometime back in the enzo thread, you can look it up for your reference.

    Thanks for input. This one?

I know I seen it before, and it is a amazing looking shoe. I visited the Skoab store last week and looked at their samples of llama calf, and the green was stunning. So a linen/green llama spectator will surely be a good looking shoe. What makes me to hesitate is the versatility of a green one. What would you wear to a shoe like that?

Damn it, I thought I was done with shoes for the month.
This pair doesn't look blake rapid stitched though.
That being said, I really like the contrast stitching on the quarters.
