1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I think we all need to realign our priorities here. I love shoes as much as the next guy...but Swedish au pair? Don't bury the lead!

I had a pair of GGs that were too narrow (in their F width) and also had a pronounced gap at the instep. If the width area is fine or a little sung then I say it will all stretch and you should keep them. If you feel like it is considerably tight in the width and also in the instep I would do what I could to get rid of them. It will save you a lot of agony--financial, physical, and emotional.

I decided to wear mine anyway and while they did (painfully) stretch over time, I would have been better off finding a better fitting shoe.

PM me if you would like more details.

Sorry, thats not going to work very well for you... If she receives the shoes in Sweden (or anywhere within the EU), then you will have to pay 25% VAT on every purchase (which is what every Swede does). If she buys them from anywhere outside the EU, then she will not be subject to VAT, but she will then have to pay the same price as yourself.

The best thing would however be if the au-pair started a Swedish company and let the company buy your shoes, then in certain situations she wouldn't have to pay VAT (which basically is what you lucky bastards outside the EU are doing right now). Problem solved! [IMG]

Just heard my nightshade Dovers have arrived and are on their way to me. Never thought I liked split toes but this will make two of them in my closet, so I guess that's changed.

Much thanks to Gabriel who was helped me settle on nightshade as the color I wanted.

i have the EG Cardiff in Delapre. It's a very oily, fatty calf leather. It's quite soft and seems to have a little natural water resistance. I'm thinking of building up a boot this fall in Delapre or its hatch cousin Utah.

You should do it. Staple makeup if you like suede.
