1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Joel, those are just incredible. I hope they fit you well! Is that the 946 last?

    Gentlemen,

    The details are as such:

    3540 Balmoral Boots
    Horween Whiskey Cordovan
    946 Last in G fitting

Honestly, that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Those are fantastic, Watchman - congrats. I love the lighter shell samples I've seen in these recent MTOs. I may have to investigate the 946 in a wide fitting.

For me my Shanklins fit the same as my 202 lasted calf Dovers. Like a glove.

Hey do you go half a size down form your US size for EG shoes?

I go down a full size fwiw. Size 9D on AE and size 8E on EG 888 and 82. I am sorely tempted by the shanklin but the 202 might be too wide for me and I need it like I need another hole in my head.

I'm also 9D in AE (65). I find 8.5E on EG 888 to be comfortable in width but just a bit long. Never tried 8E, though.

Thanks - so the pair is prob a bit loose for me then, going up half a size for 82 works for me but for the 202 and 606, that would be a bit too much .

That's not a relevant question anymore though - someone else has gratefully snapped that pair away from the skoak website.

Kinda bummed that I pre-ordered them and now there is (was) a pair in my size on sale, haha. Oh well.

If color is true, that's some great depth on that shell color

    All,

I am proposing a GMTO of the boot pictured below.

    Model 973
    Snuff Suede
    Rain last
    Dainite sole
    Blind eyelets
Lined (apparently this boot is unavailable unlined)

Price through Skoaktiebolaget is 3520 SEK excluding VAT, or approx $426 (excluding shipping) to the States (or about $526 Canadian) at today's exchange rate.

Delivery time is approx. four months as the Carmina factory takes a siesta for the month of August.

    Any takers?

That's really hit and miss, besides the price break wasn't that big.

So tell me, do you really like them?
